*Blank Cartridge.* I find the expression *khālī-golī* used for blank cartridge by Rustam ‘Alī, Bijnorī, “History of the Rohelas” (in Urdū), fol. 17*a*: *Bataur jang-i-zargarī khālī golī se apus meṇ chalen*; “As in a goldsmith’s quarrel (a collusive dispute), they fired blank cartridge at each other”.
