This forest lay to the south of Hatthikappa (see Hatthikappa). It is said that Kaṇha Vāsudeva was shot dead here by the arrow of Jarākumāra. Baladeva is said to have proceeded to the mountain Tuṅgiya from here.⁴⁰⁶
