§ 197. The Sānti Parvan in its Ch. 81 records a discussion on the affairs of the Andhaka-Vrishṇi league. It is called an 'ancient history' although it is put in the mouth of Bhīshma, a contemporary. Kṛishṇa puts his difficulties as the Vṛishṇi-leader before his friend Nārada, and the latter gives his solution. The discussion is important as showing:
