³ These texts occur in the *Vājasaneyī Saṁhitā* (*Śukla Yajurveda*), Chapter IX, ver. 40 and Chapter X vv., 17 and 18. These two Chapters (IX and X) of the Saṁhitā give mantras for royal consecration from which different ceremonials have been evolved in the Brāhmaṇas.
