To the royal oath the people pronounced 'Amen', (एवमस्तु). The most remarkable feature about the Hindu Coronation Oath is still retained; there is not a trace of superstitious or mystic element in it. It is in this respect in unique contrast with the royal oaths of other countries.⁵
