Text:— "गोवर्धन-वास्तव्ये श्रे णिषु कोलीकनिकाये २००० वृद्धि पडिकशत...एत च सर्वं स्रावित निगम-सभाय निबध च फलकवारे चरित्रतोति।" *Charitra* was recorded in books, See *AS.*, II. 25, p. 62. *Charitrato* may mean 'as Charitra was recorded'; *Srāvita* according to law books would mean 'attested.' The transaction was 'attested' at the Nigama Sabhā, i.e., by registration. Hindu method of attestation included both 'witnessing' and 'hearing'.
