The wagers on law-suits too were a source of income for the judges; at least according to Mit., Apar. and Viram. on Y. 2, 18 the staked sum is to be paid to the king or to the judge, while of course according to the Burmese law, Wagers on law-suits a lucrative source of income to the court.
