To study the distribution of Indians in different countries of the world as sojourners or settlers, to make enquires into their conditions of life with a view to aid them in bettering these conditions and to help such Overseas Indians, while remaining good citizens of their adopted countries, to be in intimate touch with their Motherland, its language and thought, culture and religion.
