The Smṛtis leave uncertain the position of other heirs specially of the widow of a Saṃsṛṣṭin who has died without leaving behind any male issue and for this reason this question has been vigorously discussed by later jurists and is one of the chief points of dispute between the Mit. and the Dāyabh. At the present day "reunion" appears to be very rare¹.
