Inherited suretyship. Regarding the inheritance of the obligations of suretyship a historical development of the same seems to lie before us from its absolute uninheritability to its inheritability by the son, in whose case it is restricted only to the principal.¹ According to some authors even the son is responsible only in the case of the suretyship for payment and the suretyship for delivering the pledge.
