Deshpande quotes from a work called Bhānuvijaya of the Mahānubhāva sect passages wherein Hemādri is charged with having been won over by Turks (Mahomedans) and with having brought about the imprisonment of Bhānubhaṭṭa alias Bhāskara Kaviśvara Vyāsa (a Mahānubhāva saint) ‘जरि करावा रणकन्दन । हेमाद्रि तुर्का लागले पण । दिल्लीश्वरें देवोनि धन । मंत्री या वश्य केला ॥ भानुगुणीं असाहणेपणें । अहिता प्रेरिलें दुर्जनें । तुर्का कांई असे आंगवणें । हेमाद्रियेची बंधाविलें ॥’.
