²⁰² The ms. reads येन येन हि चण्डेन ( चिदङ्गेन ? ) हिंस्याच्छ्रेयांसमन्त्यजः । तदेव तस्य छेत्तव्यं छिन्ने निर्विषहो भवेत् ॥; in मनु (8.279) the last pāda is तन्मनोरनुशासनम्.
