⁴⁰⁴ मानवाः सद्य एवाहुः सहोढानां प्रवासकम् । गौतमानाामिष्टं यत्प्राण्युच्छेदाद्विगर्हितम् ॥ वि. र. 338. It is not unlikely that the correct reading is प्रमापणं for प्रवासनं, as the immediately following view of गौतम suggests. The words of मनु are सहोढं सोपकरणं घातयेदविचारयन्.
