⁹⁴³ e. g. भास्कराचार्य in his गणिताध्याय (कालमानाध्याय verse 24) says ‘खखा-भदन्तसागरैर्युगाग्नियुग्मभूगुणैः। क्रमेण सूर्यवत्सरैः कृतादयो युगाङ्घ्रयः॥’ where युग must mean ‘four’ and युग्म is employed for two.
