*Avarīṭa*. Devala quoted by Aparārka (p. 118 on Yāj. I. 92) says that he is born of the illegitimate connection between a married woman and a male of the same caste and he becomes a śūdra. The Śūdra-kamalākara¹⁷⁵ (p. 247) cites from the Smṛti-kaumudī a verse of the Ādityapurāṇa to the same effect.
