¹⁰³⁶ हरदत्त on आप. ध. सू. II. 5. 11–16 quotes शङ्ख ‘दारानहरेदसपृष्टानसमानार्षेयानसंवन्धानां सप्तमपञ्चमात्पितृमातृबन्धुभ्यः’।. The words ārṣeya, ārṣa and pravara mean the same thing. Manu is silent about the prohibition against marrying a sapravara girl.
