¹⁴⁶⁷ पतिव्रता संप्रदीप्तं प्रविवेश हुताशनम् ॥ ततश्चित्राङ्गदधरं भर्तारं सान्वपश्यत। …… ततः स्वर्गं गतः पक्षी भार्यया सह संगतः। शान्ति 148. 10-12. This passage is quoted in the Mit. on Yāj. I. 86 in support of the plea that *satī* is enjoined and leads to great bliss in the other world.
