¹⁷⁵⁶ रुद्रगायत्री is तत्पुरुषाय विद्महे महादेवाय धीमहि । तन्नो रुद्रः प्रचोदयात् ॥ तै. आ. X. 1 and काठकसंहिता 17. 11. It closely resembles the famous Gāyatrī verse, particularly the words ‘dhīmahi’ and ‘pracodayāt’ are the same in both.
