¹⁷¹³ यस्ते शृङ्गवृषो नपात् प्रणपात्कुण्डपाय्यः। न्यस्मिन्दध्र आ मनः॥ ऋ. VIII. 17. 13. निरुक्त VIII. 5 explains 'नपात् इति अनन्तरायाः प्रजाया नामधेयम्।'. सायण takes नपात् to mean पुत्र here.
