¹⁷⁸⁰ Some hold that bali is to be offered on the ground at the top (where the head lies) of the bed of the house-holder and at the other end of the bed. पृष्ठवास्तु in Manu III. 91 is explained by the गृहस्थरत्नाकर p. 279 as the latrine and privy at the back of the house.
