¹⁹¹⁷ सा मलवद्वासो अभवत् । तस्मान्मलवद्वाससा न संवदेत् । न सहासीत । नास्या अन्नमद्यात् । ब्रह्महत्यायै ह्येषा वर्णं प्रतिमुच्यास्तेऽथो खल्वाहुः । अभ्यञ्जनं वाव स्त्रिया अन्नम् । अभ्यञ्जनमेव न प्रतिगृह्यं काममन्यत् । तै. सं. II.5.1.5-6. Śabara on Jaimini III. 4.19 says that the words नास्या अन्नमद्यात् अभ्यञ्जनं वाव स्त्रिया अन्नं really enjoin the prohibition of approaching her for intercourse and the Tantravārtika (p. 952) offers the interesting information that among the Lāṭas ‘abhyañjana’ is a synonym for ‘sexual intercourse’ तथा हि लाटानामप्यभ्य-ञ्जनपर्यायान्तरवाच्यलक्षणमुपगमनं प्रसिद्धम्.
