²⁰⁹³ Iṣe tvorje tvā, agna āyāhi, śaṁ no devīr-are the beginnings of the three Vedas, Yajurveda (Śukla and Kṛṣṇa), Sāmaveda and Atharvaveda. In the Śaunakiya recension of the Atharvaveda the first verse is 'Ye triṣaptāḥ' and 'śaṁ no devīr' is Atharva I. 6. 1.
