The sacrificer gets the hair on the head and face shaved, pares his nails and then bathes; the wife also does the same except shaving the hair on the head. The husband and wife are to establish fires after wearing two silken garments each, which are to be given up to the adhvaryu at the time of distributing dakṣiṇā (after the rite of agnyādheya is finished).
