²³⁷⁰ The com. on Sat. II. 2. p. 200 says that this action is the प्रतिपत्तिकर्म (in the language of mīmāṁsakas) of the आज्यशेष and is not meant as अभिधारण, but the com. on Kāt. III. 3. 9. says that this is हविः-संस्कार and not प्रतिपत्तिकर्म.
