²³⁸⁵ According to com. on Sat. II. 3. p. 210 the brahmā priest does not join in touching the iḍāpātra. This is also the practice in modern times of those who follow Sat. According to Baud. I. 18 and Kat. III. 4. 12 the brahmā does join.
