²²⁸⁸ अङ्गारप्रेषणार्थं काष्ठमुपवेष इति समाख्यायते । com. on Āp. I. 6. 7. It is one span long. Com. on कात्या. II. 4. 26 says ‘उपवेषोऽङ्गारोपोधनसमर्थं हस्ताकृति काष्ठम्’. It is of palāśa and one end of it is made to resemble a shovel.
