²⁶⁰¹ सुमत्यद्गन्वे पिता मातरिश्वाच्छिद्रा पदा धावच्छिद्रोक्था कवयः शंसन्। ...... क इदं शंसिष्यति स इदं शंसिष्यति । Āśv. V. 9. 1. This is the *japa*. The Ait. Br. X. 6 has the whole of it except the first five mystic letters, but it appears to explain those five and also the rest of the passage. Vide Haug's note on. p. 151 of tr. of Ait.
