²⁵⁶⁰ In the Pravargya wherever water is to be used it is hot water and taken from the madantī vessel. According to Kāt. VIII. 1. 11 wherever after the avāntaradīkṣā water is required it is to be taken from the madantī (and it is to be hot) till the time when the sacrificer loosens his clenched fists.
