²⁵⁸¹ पत्न्योऽपघाटिलाभिरुपगायन्त्ययाम्बिज्जयेनेव तत्पत्न्यः कुर्वन्ति सह स्वर्गं लोक-मय़ानेति। ताण्ड्य V 6. 8. The com. explains that अपघाटिला is a lute made to yield sound by the breath from one's mouth. 'उपगायन्ति पत्न्योऽपाघाट-लिकारस्तालुक्रवीणाः काण्डवीणाः पिच्छोला अलाबुकपिञ्छील्र्प्यः।' सत्याषाढ XVI. 6. 21.
