²⁶ राजानं प्रथमं विन्देत्ततो भार्यां ततो धनम् । राज्यम्यसति लोकस्य कुतो भार्या कुतो धनम् ॥ शान्ति 57. 41. The first half is आदिपर्व 160. 12 (Cr. ed. 148.12). This verse is said to have been uttered by Bhārgava.
