³⁷² न सा सभा यत्र न सन्ति वृद्धा वृद्धा न ते ये न वदन्ति धर्मम् । नासौ धर्मो यत्र नो सत्यमस्ति न तत्सत्यं यच्छलेनानुविद्धम् ॥ नारद III. 18 = उद्योगपर्व 35. 58 (reads यच्छलेनाभ्युपेतम् ). Acc. to a verse quoted from the राजधर्म by the भाष्य on सत्या. श्रौ. सू. a सभा is of three kinds: सभास्तु तिस्त्रो विज्ञेया धर्मस्यैका च कर्मणः । तथा राजसभेत्येता विद्वद्भिः परिकीर्तिताः ॥ The first (धर्मसभा) dealt with व्यवहार and प्रायश्चित्त, the 2nd (कर्मसभा) was a hall where sacrifices were performed and the 3rd (राजसभा) was the royal *durbar* attended by brāhmaṇas, warriors, royal officers and servants.
