Nanda* 43 All. 560 for the validity of gifts of small immovable property by the *kartā* for religious purposes. But in *Jinnappa v. Ghimmava* 59 Bom. 459 a gift of a small portion of joint family immovable property by the father to his daughter on the ground that she looked after him in his old age was set aside at the suit of his grandsons.
