⁹⁶⁷ साहसं पञ्चधा प्रोक्तं वधस्तत्राधिकः स्मृतः। तत्कारिणो नार्थदमैः शास्या वध्याः प्रयत्नतः ॥ बृह. q. by वि. चि. p 105. The word 'vadha' has two senses, (1) death and (2) corporal punishment. Here वध means death.
