¹⁵⁷⁵ अत्र च शूद्रग्रहणाद् ... किं त्वनुकूलश्चेज्जीवनमात्रं लभते । मिता. on या. II. 133-134 q. above in *n.* 1136. Vide व्य. मयूख p. 104 and व्य. प्र. p. 488 for almost the same words. The word जीवनमात्रं does not mean 'bare maintenance' or 'bare necessities of life,' has no reference to the amount of maintenance but is used to distinguish it from *aṁśa* (share). Vide *Hiralal v. Meghraj* I. L. R. (1938) Bom. 779 at pp. 787 and 794.
