DHANADAKṚCCHRA—See under Vāyavya-kṛcchra. According to the Viṣṇudharmottara³²² (q. by Pr. Prakāśa) this penance consists in subsisting for a month on food just sufficient to fill the extended but hollowed palm, mixed with gold (i. e. in which gold is rubbed or boiled).
