⁵⁸⁷ असस्कृतेन पत्न्या च ह्यग्निदानं समन्त्रकम्। कर्तव्यमितरत्सर्वं कारयेदन्यमेव हि॥ कात्यायन q. by मद. पा pp 402-403, which remarks 'यदा त्वनुपनीतः पुत्रः संस्कर्ता पत्नी वा तदाग्निदानमेव समन्त्रकं कार्यम्। This is opposed to the view of the निर्णयसिन्धु, धर्मसिन्धु and other works.
