⁷³⁴ प्रपास्त्वरण्ये चर्मणं च कूपे द्रोण्यां जलं कोशगतास्तथाप'। कृतेपि शूद्रात्तदपेय-माहुरापद्रतः कांचिंतवत् पिवेत् ॥ यम q. by अपरार्क p. 273 and शु म p 104 (which reads 'भूमिगता' पिवेत्). This reading would mean that he should pour such water on the ground and when it is as much in volume as would slake a cow's thirst he may drink it. The first half occurs in अत्रि 233, आपस्तम्बस्मृति II. 2. शु म. p. 103 quotes शङ्खलिखित to the same effect
