I. 244 दत्त्वा तु दक्षिणां शक्त्या—देवल prescribes that दक्षिणा was to be given to the पित्र्यब्राह्मणs first and then to the वैश्वदैविकब्राह्मणs 'दक्षिणां पितृविप्रेभ्यो दद्यात्पूर्वं ततो द्वयो.' q. by स्मृतित्त.
