¹¹⁰⁰ The पाद्य would be offered in the words 'पित, अमुकशर्मन् अमुकगोत्र वसुरूप ब्राह्मणे भूर्भुवः स्व, इदं ते पाद्यम्'. In the case of the पितामह and प्रपितामह the words रुद्ररूप and आदित्यरूप would respectively be substituted for वसुरूप. We have to construe as ब्राह्मणे ते पाद्यम् (अस्तु) and भूर्भुवः स्व. as the mantra accompanying the पाद्य.
