The Brahmapurāṇa winds up by saying 'it is thrice¹⁵⁸⁹ true that that kṣetra (Puruṣottama) is the greatest and highest tīrtha. A person has not to lie again in the womb after once visiting Puruṣottama which is laved by the waters of the sea or by once attaining the knowledge of *brahma*.
