¹⁶¹⁵ शिवशक्त्योर्यतस्तस्मिन्निवासोऽभूत्सनातन । अतो वदन्ति मुनयो निवासपुरमित्यदः। प्रवराया पुरा देवाः सुमीतास्ते वरान् ददुः ॥ ब्रह्म. 106 53-54. निवासपुर is Newasa on the Pravarā which falls into the Godāvarī at the sacred place called Toka. The great Marathi poet and saint Jñāneśvara wrote his commentary on the Gītā at Newasa.
