*Aṣṭamīvratas*—There are about 30 Aṣṭamī-vratas, which will be entered at the proper places. General rule is that in the bright half Aṣṭamī mixed with Navamī is to be preferred and in dark half aṣṭamī mixed with saptamī is preferred. Vide TT 40, DS 15.
