*Dvirāṣāḍha*—Viṣṇu is deemed to sleep on Āṣ. ś. 11; if two amāvāsyās end during the period when the Sun is in the sign of Mithuna, then there are two Āṣāḍha (lunar) months, there is an adhimāsa and Viṣṇu goes to sleep only after the 2nd amāvāsyā (i. e. in Karkaṭa or Śr.); KV 169-173, NS 192, Sm 83.
