⁷ तरणिं वो जनानां त्रदं वाजस्य गोमतः। समानमृ म शंसिषम्॥ ऋ VIII. 45. 28, गोमतः। वाजस्य त्रद would mean ‘(Indra) who is the injurer of pinc,’ which would be absurd. Indra sets free cows imprisoned by Vṛtra.
