⁴⁷⁸ दुर्गात्तारयसे दुर्गे तत् त्वं दुर्गा स्मृता जनैः । विराट 6, 20. Pāṇini (IV. 1 49) mentions Bhavānī the wife of Bhava (i e Rudra) Why अम्बिका is called कौशिकी is stated in मार्कण्डेय chap. 82. 43 ' शरीरकोशाद्यत्तस्याः पार्वत्या निःसृत्ताम्बिका कौशिकीति समस्तेषु ततो लोकेषु गीयते ॥ '
