⁶⁰³ The eight names are Bhava, Śarva, Īśāna, Paśupati, Ugra, Rudra, Bhīma, Mahādeva. The form will be ‘om Bhavam devam tarpayāmi’ &c. And as to the wives, ‘Bhavasya devasya patnīm tarpayāmi’. For eight names of Rudra almost identical with these, vide Śāṅkhyāyana Brāhmaṇa VI. 2-9.
