¹¹⁴³ वि मे पुरुत्रा पतयन्ति कामाः शम्यच्छा दीध्ये पूर्व्याणि। ऋ III 55. 3; सत्यं तत्तुर्वशे यदौ विदानो अह्रवाय्यम्। व्यानट् तुर्वणे शमि॥ ऋ VIII. 45 27. In the last verse Sāyaṇa takes शमि as objetcive singular of शमी (instead of loc singular as he does elsewhere)
