*Viṣṇudharma-purāṇa*—Vide pp. 873-876 above for discussion of the date assigned to it by Prof. Hazra. Shri Aśoka Chattarjee read a paper at the A. I. O. Con. at Delhi which has been published in ABORI vol. 38. 305-308, wherein he gives the date of composition of this Purāṇa as between 1250-1325 A.D. H. P. Sastri' Cat of Nepal Palm-leaf mss p. LIII says that a ms. of it was copied in 1047 A. D. Buhler in I. A. vol. 19 at p. 407 holds that this Purāṇa as well as the next were canonical acc. to Alberuni's pandits.
