1374b इत्येते वै नृपास्त्रिंशदन्ध्रा भोक्ष्यन्ति वै महीम्॥ समाः शतानि चत्वारि पञ्च षड् वै तथैव च। (पञ्चाशद्वै ?)। वायु 99. 357-358. The words mean on the decimal positional notation 400 + 5 (i. e 50, tens place) and 6 (i. e 456). मत्स्य 273. 16-17 reads एकोनविंशतिह्येते आन्ध्रा भोक्ष्यन्ति वै महीम् । समाः शतानि चत्वारि पञ्चाशत् षडिरेव च॥. It may be noticed that मत्स्य speaks of आन्ध्रs while वायु calls them अन्ध्रs.
