There were four kinds of dīkṣas, Kriyāvatī, Varṇamayī, Kalāvatī and Vedhamayī and there were elaborate rules about *vāstuyāga*, construction of maṇḍapa, kuṇḍas and sthaṇḍila, which are all passed over for reasons of space.
